Spirit, Soul and Body

Knowledge is powerful!

Since God is a Spirit and He deals with me on the basis, of who I am in the spirit and this has changed everything.

God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24

I now worship God based on who I am in the spirit and not on who I am in my flesh (how I act or how I feel). I now understand how our holy God can truly love me, because in my born-again spirit, I’m totally righteous and holy.

Put on the new self [the regenerated and renewed nature], created in God’s image, [godlike] in the righteousness and holiness of the truth [living in a way that expresses to God your gratitude for your salvation]. Ephesians 4:24

My spirit is His workmanship.

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. Ephesians 2:10

I’ve discovered that I’m redeemed from the Law because the Law wasn’t made for a righteous man.

Understanding the fact that law is not enacted for the righteous person [the one in right standing with God], but for lawless and rebellious people, for the ungodly and sinful, for the irreverent and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers. 1 Timothy 1:9

The Law was given to show us our need for salvation, but it couldn’t save us.

Now we know that whatever the Law [of Moses] says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that [the excuses of] every mouth may be silenced [from protesting] and that all the world may be held accountable to God [and subject to His judgment]. 20 For no [a]person will be justified [freed of guilt and declared righteous] in His sight by [trying to do] the works of the Law. For through the Law we become conscious of sin [and the recognition of sin directs us toward repentance but provides no remedy for sin]. Romans 3:19-21

But what the Law couldn’t do, Jesus did,

3 For what the Law could not do [that is, overcome sin and remove its penalty, its power] being weakened by the flesh [man’s nature without the Holy Spirit], God did: He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. And He condemned sin in the flesh [subdued it and overcame it in the person of His own Son], 4 so that the [righteous and just] requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not live our lives in the ways of the flesh [guided by worldliness and our sinful nature], but [live our lives] in the ways of the Spirit [guided by His power]. Romans 8:3-4

and I’m now the righteousness of God in Christ.

21 He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness]. 2 Corinthians 5:21

This entitles me to everything God is and has. With Andrew Wommack Ministries I’m so excited to share what I have discovered and to let the whole world know these truths.

Have you ever asked yourself what changed when you were "born again"? You look in the mirror and see the same reflection - your body hasn't changed. You find yourself acting the same and yielding to those same old temptations - that didn't seem to change either. So you wonder, Has anything really changed?
