Communion with my class today

Communion at Charis Bible College

When I grew up in a religious church, I know now that I really did not understand clearly what communion really was. So today I would like to break it down as much as I can so you can understand the simplicity of what Jesus did for us. This one-act gives us the opportunity to respond, accept and receive all that Jesus has done for us and what He completed at the cross.

During the last two years fear consumed people and I was one of them. With my health issues, I was not a good candidate for the hospital because I was afraid, I would not come out like many others.  That is what happened to my father. Early on in the beginning of 2020. He went in and then died on the 5th day, April 8th, 2020. I share my story of my last two very special days with my dad here:  https://focusonmusicgodsway.blogspot.com/2020/04/

Especially during this time, I became immersed in my faith and my intimate relationship with God became like oxygen to me. And I read:

1.     1 Corinthians 11:24 -26 The new covenant in His blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.

2.     And until I go home I will proclaim His healing on my body

In the early church broke bread from house to house, so now that we are in seclusion and our church became our home we set up communion at our home.

1.     Cracker were no where to be found and neither were these little cups.  So I bought a bottle of wine and gathered little shot glasses.

o   The label name expresses 3 so I looked at this wine not as the world but as I am in communion with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit

2.     And as for the bread I found parmesan fishes that to me represent Jesus.

WHY DO BELIEVERS PARTAKE OF THE HOLY COMMUNION?

On the night that He was betrayed, Jesus ate His last supper with His disciples. And knowing what He would accomplish through His sacrifice, He introduced at that time the Holy Communion Luke 22:19–20.

So, WHAT IS THE HOLY COMMUNION?

The Lord’s Supper – A form of Thanksgiving

1.     The Lord’s Supper Represents the most important gift of our life:

a.     It is the greatest expression of God’s love for us which is

b.     the sacrifice and death of Jesus Christ that gives us the opportunity to willingly accept and obtain the salvation so we can go home to God our Father in Heaven

2.     There are two items are used in the Holy Communion

a.     The bread which represents the broken body of Jesus before and during His crucifixion

                                            i.            How do you get the bread?

ii.            Through pounding of the dough

iii.            then put on the side in darkness to rise, then bake

b.     The cup which represents His shed blood.

                                            i.            How do you get the wine?

ii.            Through crushing of the grapes

iii.            then put on the side in darkness

The Body of Jesus: our physical healing – by His physical act in our place

When Jesus walked on earth, His body was full of life and health. He was never sick. This was the time when Jesus stepped into our place, traded His life of health and took sicknesses and diseases.  He pre-paid for our lives before we were ever born so we can in divine health.

1.     Before cross, Jesus was badly tortured by the Roman soldiers – His body broken for ours

2.     At the cross His body was torn as He hung on the cross – His body torn for ours

According to Isaiah 53:5  ~ Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, (for our disobedience), He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities, (for our sins); the chastisement, (for the punishment) that was needed to obtain peace and well-being for us was taken by Him. Because of the stripes, (the wounds from the soldiers), His suffering gave us our healing and made us whole at that moment.

According to 1 Peter 2:24 ~ Jesus personally offered His body, took our sins as His own and gave us His righteousness.  He did this for us as an act of great Love for us so we will choose to live a life of a righteous child of God so by His wounds we are then healed.

Can there really be healing by the eating of this bread?

1.     We are reminded that the whole world fell because of what was eaten,

2.     So now we are reminded that our bodies are redeemed by the only one who came and gave it all.

3.     Just like it started with Adam and ended with Jesus.

The Blood of Jesus: the forgiveness of sins was paid in full.

1.     In Luke 22:20: Jesus tells us that the cup that He shared with His disciples after supper represents the “new covenant, in His blood was going to be shed for us”

2.     In Colossians 1:14: expresses the greatness of Jesus Christ, because in Jesus, through the shedding of His blood, we are given our redemption, (meaning we recover, take back in exchange, we are forgiven for our sins)

3.     In Ephesians 1:7: In Jesus we have redemption, “Our Freedom was Paid in Full”, by His death in our place, we have deliverance and receive salvation, through His blood, the remission, His forgiveness towards us of our offenses (sins), shortcomings (limitations) and trespasses (turning from the truth, violating God’s boundaries), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor.

4.     According to Hebrews 4:16, When we partake, Jesus’ blood gives us right standing before God, and we can go boldly and confidently into the throne of God’s presence and unmerited favor in.

5.     And when we pray, this is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us as written in 1 John 5:14

So these verses I just read explain the price for our release and the price was paid at the cross by the blood of Jesus.

      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So now please join me and partake in communion

The Body of Jesus:

Today, as we partake of the bread, we are declaring that Jesus’ health and divine life flows in our mortal bodies. As we partake of the cup, we are declaring that we are forgiven and have been made righteous. Jesus’ blood gives us right standing before God, and we can go boldly into God’s presence (Hebrews 4:16). When we pray, we can be sure that God hears us!

Take the bread and lift your hands with me:

Please close your eyes and see this the healing of your body,

in your mind as you repeat after me:

-         Thank You, Father, for the gift of Your Son.

-         I take this bread and say "Yes and Amen" to all Your promises.

-         By the stripes that fell on His back,

-         my body is healed, right now,

-         from the crown of my head to the very soles of my feet,

-         from any infliction, sickness, disease, decay or any virus.

-         Your body was broken so mine

-         will become whole in every cell, every organ, every memory

-         every function of my body is healed,

-         restored, and renewed, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

-         I believe and I receive it.   [Partake and Eat the bread.]

While our eyes still closed, we believe:

By His Stripes – what ever has tried to come against us dies.

-         By His Stripes cancer dies …..

-         By His stripe’s disease must go…..

-         By His stripe’s the blockage in arteries are cleared

-         By His stripe’s blood pressure is normalized

-         By His stripe’s you have brand new heart

-         By His stripe’s your youth is renewed like the eagles Isaiah 40:31, renewing our mind of what he did at the cross for us often.

-         So according to scripture by His Stripes, this virus must go, because Jesus took it all and we are already made whole

I trust by these words spoken, and the healing that we envision while our eyes are closed, healing is taking place right now in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus, Yes and Amen!

And now the Blood of Jesus:

This represents the forgiveness of sins, were released and sent away, the price for our release was paid in full by the blood of Jesus and that is what you have to see in this cup.

1.     According to Exodus 15:26 - We can be confident that healing is for everyone as God tells us that it is  ‘the Lord Jesus who heals us’.

2.     And in every time we partake in communion Psalm 103:2-3 says Bless the Lord O my soul and we will not forget all His benefits; Who forgives all of our iniquities, Who heals all our diseases.

3.     And in Psalm 107:20 We were healed by the power of God’s word, reminding us of the many times Jesus healed people simply by speaking a word. These sick and afflicted ones were delivered from their destructions by the powerful word of God.

Take the cup and lift your hands with me:

Please close your eyes and see this the healing of your body,

in your mind as you repeat after me:

Take the cup, lift your hands with this represents his blood and say:

-       Lord Jesus, Thank You, for the gift of Your precious blood

-        Your sin-free, disease-free, poverty-free life

-         is in Your blood so I can be set free.

-         Your shed blood has removed every sin from my life.

-         Through Your blood, I am forgiven of all my sins

-         from the past, present, and future,

-         making me completely righteous.

-         You are unshakable and unwavering.

-         I celebrate my inheritance of the “Righteousness of Christ”;

-         so that I can partake in the preservation,

-         healing, wholeness, and provision

-         surrounded in Your unrelenting favor and blessings.

-         Thank You, Lord Jesus,

-          that Your blood was shed so I can be made whole.

-         Thank you for loving me with your healing love, for my total restoration,

-         in Jesus’ mighty name Amen.

-         I believe and I receive it.  [Partake and Drink from the cup.]

While our eyes still closed, we see and believe:

-         Lord Jesus, thank You for Your precious blood.

-         Your blood has washed us clean.

-         We stand before You completely righteous and forgiven.

-         We are redeemed us from every curse

-         I freely receive all the blessings

-         As You crown us with Your righteousness

-         in Jesus’ mighty name, Yes and Amen.

We see healing taking place

We see infliction, and sickness disappear

We see disease, decay or any virus disappear

We see cells regenerating throughout our body

Highly functioning level, according to the image of God that it can’t be penetrated by any weapon or enemy of any kind in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Thank you, Father God that we have VICTORY through Jesus Christ.

I Stand Firm! And NOTHING will move me.

I will always give myself fully to the work of the Lord,

because I know that my labor in the Lord is not in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:57-58

Thank you Father God for going with me to fight for me

against my enemies to give me VICTORY Deuteronomy 20:4

in Jesus’ mighty name Amen.

       -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Notes:

1.      No wear does it say in the bible that a pastor has to do it

2.      It is something you get to do, this gift from Jesus

3.      As often as we do it
